Microneedling Treatment

First, we gently apply a pre-treatment numbing cream to the treatment area and then wipe and clean the area. Next, we apply fragrant-free organic serums chosen for each specific patient. Then, an electric pen is skillfully run along the skin. The pen has a stainless steel, disposable cartridge that contains several tiny needle heads to stimulate cell regeneration as well as collagen production as it quickly vibrates. The pen cartridge is disposed after every use. During the course of the treatment, we will take short breaks to reapply the organic serums to the treatment area.
We have mentioned that we use fragrant-free serums during the Microneedling treatment to aid with the care of your skin. These serums are derived/extracted from Chinese herbs and plants, such as organic apple stem cells and other Chinese herbs. Just as acupuncture is specific to the individual, each serum is specific to the issue being treated. For example, we use a specific organic serum for dark spots or melasma and a different one for wrinkles and crows feet. They are gently massaged into the skin by hand and used in conjunction with the microneedling pen, and again, after finishing the Microneedling treatment.
Microneedling offers a natural, effective alternative or complement to other cosmetic procedures, such as, Botox and other fillers. Microneedling may be used in conjunction with many cosmetic procedures as well and delaying the need for cosmetic procedures and fillers.
A fragrant-free numbing cream is gently applied in soothing motions to the treatment area. We do this prior to treatment to inhibit any discomfort. During treatment patients can expect to feel very slight discomfort, however, we will check in with you to make sure you are relaxed and comfortable the entire time.
Typically 6-10 treatments (performed over the coarse of 6-10 months) are needed to notice a visible difference in the skin and complexion.
With a round of several treatments, results can last anywhere from 6 months to 5 years. After 6-10 treatments are finished, we usually like to take a short break for 6 months to a year before resuming another round of 6-10 treatments. For best results, we recommend Facial Acupuncture in between Microneedling treatments.
To prepare for your appointment, we recommend not taking any pain relievers, such as, Acetominephen, Aspirin or Ibuprofen, as it will increase any bleeding that may occur. After your Microneedling, we recommend staying out of the sun for the rest of the day, no sweating or heavy exercising, and no makeup application for the rest of the day. You may resume your daily activities and skincare routine as early as the next morning. You can expect to be slightly red/pink complected for the rest of the day, but that will subside by the morning.
Microneedling is best done by a professional doctor or nurse practitioner. The microneedling pen that we use can only be attained with a medical license and many imitations will do more harm than good, as the quality is not sufficient and they end up hurting and scarring the skin instead. We use organic apple stem cell and Chinese herb serums as well to help you attain your skin goals. The organic serums are made with the highest quality products that cannot be found anywhere else.
